Success through two feet: Double bass

Back in the early days of rock and metal, a striking sight often graced the stages: two massive bass drums positioned side by side. This look was undoubtedly imposing and contributed to the powerful sound. However, this configuration also had significant drawbacks. The setup, teardown, and transport of the two heavy drums alone presented a logistical challenge and a strain on the drummer.
